Here are two new UNESCO site postcards from Poland:
This is the city of Torun, the birthplace of the astronomer Copernicus. Torun has so many well-preserved brick buildings from the medieval era. On the left in this card is the Old Town Hall, which was begun in the 13th century. This card comes from Sylvie from the Postcrossing forum.
This card comes from Alicja, also from the Postcrossing forum. It shows scenes from around the castle of Malbork. The castle was completed in 1406 and was the world’s largest brick castle at the time. The castle shares some similarities with Torun: both were built by Teutonic Order Knights, and they were both listed on the UNESCO list in 1997.
