MichaelaD from Czech Republic sent this lovely card of the village of Holasovice, a traditional Central European village that was inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage list in 1998.
The village has a population today of about 140 people. It was abandoned during the second World War which allowed the buildings to remain intact and undisturbed by the war. The village was founded in the 13th century but the buildings date from the 18th and 19th centuries.
