It’s been a while since I had some animal postcards on the blog. These both came from Postcrossing users.
First is this salamander from Poland:
The sender writes that this kind of salamander is very common in Southern Poland where it lives in damp forests and mountain areas.

I like how this cow has horns. Most of the dairy cows in the United States look like this cow, except that they do not have horns. But the black and white spots are a very familiar cow feature. I also like the horse hiding far in the background. There’s also a horse hiding on the stamp:
This is a stamp from the 2008 Europe stamp series, when the theme was “writing letters.” Next year the theme is going to be postal vehicles. I’ll be excited to see those!
