As promised, here is the card of Todai-ji that I received from Ai:
This temple is one of the buildings inscribed in the ‘Historic Monuments of Ancient Nara’ UNESCO site. It is a Buddhist temple, and houses a very, very large statue of Buddha, which is 14.98 meteres (49.1 feet) tall.
I believe that the stamp on the left shows some sika deer, which are messengers of the gods in the Shinto religion, and roam about the Todaiji grounds freely.
Tomorrow I’m going to wrap up the UNESCO site cards that Ai has sent to me, but I happen to have five of them, representing various parts of the Historic Monuments of Ancient Kyoto.
