I received eight postcards today! I am pretty excited about all of them; it’s a really good bunch of cards! The one official postcrossing card I received is from Turkey, a new country for my map:

This card shows a scene from the Deisis Mosaic in the Hagia Sophia. I’m not a very religious person, but I think this is pretty neat.

The postage is interesting, too:

It’s printed right on the card. I don’t know if this was a pre-paid card, or if this is how all mail gets its postage in Turkey, but I think it’s very interesting! And it’s also much prettier than our machine post marks.
