Today’s mail brought many packages, but not many postcards. So I pulled a postcard down from my wall (the display has grown geometrically since I first posted a picture). This card from Kiev, Ukraine, is an official Postcrossing card from Nastya:

It is a statue of Vladimir the Great. Nastya writes that her family loves Italian food and that they always prepare their food at home. A home-cooked meal sounds superb, especially after weeks of cafeteria food. I wonder what it is that makes food taste so good when it’s prepared by a mom (or a dad!)
