I received an official card from Russia today. It’s oniony:

Usually I can’t show the backs of the cards, because they have addresses or private messages. But I have to show this back:

So much Russian!! A quick trip to Google Translate says that the first sentence reads: “onions round node does not leave our table.” Now, I have no idea what that is supposed to mean, but I’m guessing it means that they eat a lot of onions in Russia? I was not aware of this. They also use very nice stamps in Russia:

Wonderful! I noticed that the postcards I have received from Russia have all been in envelopes. I wonder what the reason for this is.
