I did a private swap with a postcrosser in Croatia. I traded one of my weird Ray Fenwick cards for a map:

The man with the lightbulb is Nikola Tesla! Tesla was very influential in the adoption of alternating current for electrical systems. He doesn’t get enough recognition in the United States, because we love Thomas Edison too much.

This is my first postcard from Croatia, and I really didn’t know much about it until now. Croatia has only been an independent state since 1991. It’s just across the Adriatic Sea east of Italy.

I’m so happy that the private swaps I’ve arranged have gone so well! I’m excited to arrange some more!
